My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time, the lost of your father. Thank you so much for letting me know.
Your father was a brave hero and I am glad that the Daughters of the American Revolution were able to honor him at Constitution Hall and that you shared his story with us in your book, "Quiet Hero".
He was lucky to have such a proud and loving daughter, just as you felt so priveledged to have him as a father.
With Love & Deepest Sympathy,

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
You are in my prayers!
Richard inspired his daughter Rita to be a warrior in the never ending battle to preserve freedom. He will be missed even by those of us who only knew him through Rita's words and recollections. He left a magnificent legacy, Rita herself. Richard, Rest in peace. Betsy McCaugheyPosted by: Betsy McCaughey - New York City, NY - friend of Rita's Jul 09, 2012
